Lasio Studios, a boutique salon in the East Village, is looking to add a stylist to the team.
Stylist should have salon experience and be especially good at color (we use Matrix SoColor and ColorSync, so experience with that line is helpful) and cuts, but will be expected to perform our Brazilian Hair Straightening service as well, as we specialize in this treatment. Experience doing the straightening is good, but experience with our specific product (Lasio, please visit www.lasiostudios.com for more information) is better. There are not-so-subtle differences and you will need to learn the ins and outs, the differences between our product and others, and feel confident in relaying that information to clients.
We are a small salon, and we work together as a team. We work hard, and we expect you to do the same. If you have a problem cleaning up after yourself, showing up when you’re supposed to, or being respectful of your co-workers, the clients, and the salon in general, DO NOT APPLY. We do not have assistants here, and we all pitch in to keep the salon running and the clients happy. No attitudes and no flakes.
That being said, we’re a small and fun team and are looking for someone who wants to settle into a long-term position. We offer a competitive commission. We encourage creativity and openness. You can wear what you like as long as you look put together (no all-black dress code). We have been growing rapidly and will work with you to make sure that you get your fair share of clients (but don’t be shy about bringing your old clients with you).
